Hi, I’m LeeAnn Weintraub, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN). I’m so excited to be joining the amazing team at Swee2ooth. I am passionate about helping others reach their nutrition and health goals with practical, science-based solutions.
My food philosophy – or my approach to nutrition as an RDN is that healthy lifestyles are built by focusing on and improving habits. A habit is a routine of behavior done on a regular basis, sometimes even subconsciously. Building and sustaining habits that are beneficial for your body and your mind is the best form of self-care. The everyday choices we make when it comes to food, exercise, stress management, sleep and so much more have a HUGE impact on health and how we feel. These lifestyle factors, while often challenging, are within our control and that’s exciting to me!
I have no doubt that food is medicine. One of the reasons I became an RDN is because I have always felt inspired by the unique role of nutrition in living a healthy life. Nutrition can help prevent and manage the chronic illnesses that are rampant in the broader community. To be totally transparent, I love food, cooking and getting in my vegetables, but I also find it important to enjoy favorite foods, cultural foods and to try new and unfamiliar ingredients. It’s about balance and being open-minded.
I have spent the past nearly 20 years working with folks of all ages with a wide range of medical and nutrition concerns. As a health care practitioner now part of the Swee2ooth community, I am thrilled to be able to educate and support you in your health and nutrition journey.
